One of the best things about Bluehost is how easy it makes installing WordPress. You don’t need to download anything or touch a command line.

This guide takes you from signing up to your first published blog post in about 5 minutes.

Prerequisites

  • A Bluehost account (sign up at bluehost.com — our recommended link)
  • About 5 minutes

Step 1: Log In to Bluehost

After signing up, you’ll land in the Bluehost dashboard. Look for the ” Websites” section.

Step 2: Create Your Site

Click “Create Site” and choose “WordPress” as the type.

Fill in your site name and tagline. Don’t worry — you can change these later.

Step 3: Choose Your Theme

Bluehost will ask you to pick a theme. You can skip this and choose later in WordPress admin. We recommend the free “Hello Elementor” or “Astra” themes for beginners.

Step 4: Install WordPress

Click “Install WordPress”. Bluehost handles everything automatically — you’ll see a progress indicator.

In about 60 seconds, your site is live.

Step 5: Log Into WordPress

You’ll receive an email with your WordPress login details. You can also find them in the Bluehost dashboard under “Marketing Center” → “Websites”.

Navigate to yoursite.com/wp-admin and log in.

Step 6: Publish Your First Post

In the WordPress admin sidebar, click Posts → Add New.

Write your title, add some content, then click Publish.

Congratulations — your site is live!
